Tidigar Server

Tidigar on your own server.

You receive a Linux container and a Docker Compose file. Run Tidigar on your own network, with your organisation's accounts and plans on your server. Users open it in their browsers.

What you receive

Install and import

  1. Download your organisation's export from Tidigar Business.
  2. Copy the export and installation package to your server.
  3. Run the installation tool. Import the plans and map members to your local accounts and roles.
  4. Configure your web address and identity provider, then start Tidigar with Docker Compose.

The import includes plans, retained revisions, trash and thumbnails. Business sessions and payment subscriptions are not imported.

What you run

One container serves the browser editor and API. Node.js runs the server; SQLite stores accounts, memberships and plans. The database and license file live on a persistent volume at /data. Updating the container retains that volume. Every save keeps the whole plan as a version; read how Tidigar Server stores data for retention, limits and sizing.

You provide the container host, storage and HTTPS reverse proxy. The proxy must pass WebSocket connections for live updates. Sign-in uses your OpenID Connect provider, such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta or Keycloak.

Run your backups

You receive a backup script. You must run it and keep the backups on separate storage. Schedule it with your own job scheduler if you want automatic backups.

Backups contain the database and license. Follow the restore instructions to recover into an empty data directory with a compatible container version. Keep identity-provider configuration and secrets in your own backup process.

Your network, your data

Tidigar Server makes no activation, telemetry or payment calls and does not contact Hamacher Software during operation. The editor's assets are included in the package. Sign-in needs access to your configured identity provider. An isolated network uses an internal provider and offline installation and update packages.

Your team controls access, infrastructure, monitoring and backups. Roadmaps use documented formats and can be exported.

One organisation license

The license covers unlimited users and plans within the agreed organisation. Owners manage membership, editors change plans and viewers read. Colleagues see updates to shared plans within seconds; conflicting edits are presented for resolution. Technical storage and plan-size limits still apply.

Install the signed license file on your server. It is verified locally, without activation or machine binding. Covered versions keep working permanently. Annual maintenance provides support and new versions; ending maintenance does not disable a version you have bought.

Server licensing is separate from Apple purchases for files and calendars. Contact hello@tidigar.com for an organisation license, pricing and support terms. Compare storage options on the pricing page.
