Keep a plan where you need it

Free Files and calendars · One-time purchase Tidigar Business · Paid

Start a workshop plan in your browser, then keep it in Business when your team needs to work on it together. The library brings plans into one gallery, but their storage labels tell you where changes are saved and who can reach them.

Find where a plan is kept

Use this small workshop to try the library and storage controls. The frame lets you explore the plan; it does not move a plan between storage places. Choose Open in Tidigar to open your own editable copy.

Open in Tidigar: A workshop to keep – Workshop preparation

  1. Open Properties for A workshop to keep. Look at Storage. In the free browser, a local plan says This browser.
  2. Change the progress of Draft the agenda, then return to the library and open the plan again. With browser storage available, the edit is kept here automatically.
  3. Check the plan's storage label on its library card. Signing in to Business does not by itself move an existing local plan there.
  4. Open Properties → Move to… to choose another place. Here now marks the current one. Read the explanation beside the destination before choosing it.

The library is a way to find plans across these places. Seeing two plans beside each other does not mean they share a storage service or permissions. A calendar's name alone does not make it a Tidigar plan. For the app controls and provider permissions, follow Files and calendars.

Move the workshop to Business

In the browser, choose Tidigar Business or one of your organisations in Move to…. Sign in if asked. If you do not yet own or edit in an organisation, you name a new one where you choose its subscription, and the plan moves there once the subscription has started. If you have several organisations, check the destination carefully.

An organisation needs a subscription before it can receive the plan. Its owner chooses a monthly or yearly subscription in the browser; the move continues when checkout has completed and the subscription is ready. An editor cannot renew it on the owner's behalf. If the organisation is already writable and your role permits adding plans, the move can go ahead immediately.

Open Properties again and check that Storage names the intended Business organisation. The workshop is now that organisation's plan. Use Business teams to invite colleagues and choose their roles. Other members reach it according to their roles; copying its plan link gives them an address, without granting membership.

In the apps, Move to… can move a local document to an existing writable Business organisation and a Business plan to the app's documents. Set up organisations and their subscriptions in the browser. Files and calendars must first be saved as app documents before moving to Business; their Business rows explain this requirement.

Bring a Business plan back here

Open Properties → Move to… and choose This browser, or the app's documents when using the app. Read any confirmation before moving a shared workshop: the effect depends on your access to its source.

A local workshop no longer follows changes to the Business original. If colleagues still need one shared plan, keep it in Business and use its member link. If you only want to send an independent snapshot, use Send a copy instead of moving the team's plan.

How storage works in detail

Local means this place

A browser plan belongs to this browser profile and site. Another browser, another device or the app's library does not automatically have it. Clearing the site's data removes its local plans and cached Business copies. Private browsing and unavailable or full browser storage can also prevent durable saving. Pay attention to storage errors; an edit on screen does not prove that it was saved.

Local app documents use the app's document library. Business sign-in does not upload them automatically. Files and calendars use their own storage providers: a file in a shared folder may sync through that folder, and a shared calendar uses its provider's permissions. Neither becomes a Business plan merely because several people can open it.

The plan contains activities, milestones, dimensions and saved views. Personal presentation state, such as which saved view you are currently using or which summary rows you have collapsed, is separate. Another member opening the same Business plan can look at it differently. See Timeline views for saving a presentation others can choose.

An offline copy still belongs to Business

A Business plan opened here can keep a local working copy. In the browser, up to ten previously opened plans are retained for offline use, prioritised by their latest server changes. A card that is available only online cannot be opened without a connection; having seen its thumbnail is insufficient.

Edits made offline wait here. When the connection returns, Tidigar combines them with changes made elsewhere and sends the result to Business. If both versions changed the same thing, you may need to choose how to resolve it. Until the server accepts the edits, another device cannot be relied on to have them. An offline copy is part of the Business workflow, rather than a second independent local plan.

A plan can be readable without being writable, for example because your role is viewer or the subscription ended. Edits you make while it is read only remain local; they do not update the shared plan. Use Move to… to keep an independent local plan where the organisation allows it.

Moves protect the source when something changes

Moving to another Business organisation needs write access at the destination. A full organisation, an oversized plan, a missing connection or insufficient access can stop the move. A failed move reports the problem rather than silently claiming a new storage location.

When leaving a writable Business source, Tidigar checks that source's revision. If a colleague saves during the move, the plan stays in its original organisation and their changes are brought in. Review the current plan and try again. This avoids deleting work that arrived after your move began.

When a paid step ends

If a Business organisation's subscription ends, its plans become read only. An owner can renew it. While you still have access, you can take a plan into local storage unless the organisation keeps its plans inside it. In that case, an owner can change the setting or use the organisation's data download.

Lapsed organisations and their plans are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. Owners receive a warning; deletion happens no sooner than 14 days after that warning. This retention period is time to act, rather than permanent free Business storage. Save what you need before deletion. Customer-operated Tidigar Server has no Business subscription lapse.

Apple purchases are separate from Business. Files and calendars and Export without Tidigar are independent one-time purchases. Reading an external plan and choosing Keep a copy in the app are free. If a purchase is refunded or revoked, protected writes stop; the original and pending content remain available for reading or a local copy.

For sharing a local copy, a member link or an updating public view, continue with Sharing a plan and Screen links.
